Christ in Me

You’ve all heard this passage a 1000 times… I’ve been crucified with Christ and I no longer live. But Christ lives in me and the life which is now lived in the body. I live by the faithfulness of the Son of God, meaning, the life that pleases God,  my fellow man pleases the people I’m around and makes them see me as righteous. The life that I live that is pleasing to my wife, and pleasing to my boss, is lived by the faithfulness of the Son of God who lives in me.  Christ in me the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27, is Christ in me the hope of being able to live the Christian life. The new way of life, which Paul taught everywhere in every church.  Christ in me, the grace of God in me the grace equalling Jesus Christ in me.  His life that he gave, that He died and went to the third heaven and came back down in spiritual form on the day of Pentecost to start living in people. To live in them and do for them what they cannot do for themselves.  This is the grace of God that we live by every day. If we can get clear understanding of what it means to live by the grace of God every day, if we can understand that that’s equal to living by the power of Jesus in us, we’ve got it. We’ve got the new way of life, we now know what it means to be not under the law, in human performance, trying to obey the commandments, but living under grace, which is the power of Christ in us. Colossians 1:27. Christ in us the hope of glory!

Do you remember that’s why Jesus before he left the planet, he said, Abide in me, in I will abide in you. In Me, you can bear much fruit, but apart from me, you can do nothing. He was telling the disciples, Live there lives in Him… the opposite of living in your human effort or living in our power. Conversely, the opposite of that is living in Christ or in Christ power, or in the grace of God, which is Christ power, literally.

Matter of fact, since we’re right here in Galatians, let me let me just hit you with Galatians 3:3

, it says, are you so foolish? After having begun by the Spirit? Are you now trying to attain the goal of the Christian life by human effort,
